Is there a way to store paper documents in a firelined gun safe and have them remain intact through an intense fire? For example, maybe a "fireproof" document box or something? Ideally it would not take up a lot of space inside the safe. This would need to be only big enough to hold a stack of documents maybe approximately 6 inches thick or so (8 1/2' x 11" type documents). Thanks in advance. |
| Your best bet is to get a small fire safe such as Sentry or First Alert and place it in the BOTTOM of the safe. You should be able to find one on sale for around $25. The hardest part is to find one that actually holds an 8.5x11 sheet. I don't know why most of them are slightly smaller than that. This is where any electronic media needs to be placed as well such as disks, thumb drives, and hard drives if you wish for them to actually survive a fire. |
