| Hi. At the range this weekend and I noticed that on most clips the rifle would fail to feed the second and third shots then function fine at that point. Lack of lubrication? Something bent? |

Ammo used? Lubriplate was the issued lube for a light coat on the bolt lugs and operating rod channel. Any light grease, using a light coat, should work. Lubriplate engine assemble lube is what I use nowadays. Replacing your operating rod spring may help if lube doesn't. |

How are the clips? I've got some that are old with very worn finish and a few that look straight out of the parkerizing tank. Those are the ones most likely to cause troubles. Too much friction between the clip and shell case. |

After I get it stripped and cleaned I’ll take it, and all the clips I have, and see if it’s limited to any particular clips. |
