Being new to the FAL type rifle,And sitting on a great parts kit. I have been searching for a IMBEL upper to build on.( I'm also on the DSA upper group buy at W.R.) This simple build has turned into a bit of a parts research problem for me. Does anyone know the difference between the CIA marked Imbel uppers and the PAC marked Imbels? Are these mgf in the same plant or not? Is the CIA the upper to stay away from?Is there no differences between the two?Who has one in stock for sale, today? Sorry about all the questions, but I want to get on with this build ,And the only Imbel I can find is the CIA marked ones, for about $225.00 & I feel this price is a bit high.I keep seeing the PAC marked ones for sale in flyers...But when I call,The reply is "sorry thy're out of stock at this time"I am tired of this parts shortage crap & want to get my build on!>ran-off< |

Made in the same plant ,just imported by diffrent companies. If you go to sell it the PAC will bring more money becase just as soon as someone sees Centuries name on it,they assume the built it. I have one of the few true Inch cut Imbel reciever that was imported. Mine says it was imported by Century. It was not built by them though.Matter of fact I believe Century is the only one to import inch cut Imbels.Any one have one marked diffrent? By the way the plant were those are made is the same as where Springfield gets there 45 frames and slides made. |
