I have been looking at different fal's and triggers and can't really find a good aftermarket trigger lE Geissele or Timney .
I am looking for one with a quick reset for speed shooting and about 4Lbs. Anybody know of anything? Thanks. |
| I tried a JARD trigger in my FAL. Fired about 300 rounds with installed. The trigger gives you a nice pull but you have to have the over travel adjusted right. Also if you decide to go with the JARD you may have trouble with light primer strikes. I requested a extra power hammer spring which did help but still had a light strike occasionally. I removed it and installed the original IMBEL factory parts and my trouble stopped. Remember the FAL is a battle rifle not a target rifle. I have not tried any of the other replacement triggers, and can't help you there. . |

Take a look at the Falcon Trigger kit. I have this on one of my FAL's and it does reduce the trigger poundage noticeably, although as stated above, the FAL is meant to be a very reliable battle rifle, not a target rifle. Good Luck! www.falconarms.com/fnfal-metric-trigger-pull-reduction-kit-new |
| Google Bill Springfield. He does custom work on the FAL trigger group (and others) for $35 last I saw. Be specific as to what you expect. Some people were not impressed with his work, but for the most part there are good reviews going back many years. He greatly improved the parts I sent him, lowered the pull to 4.5 lbs. +/- with a much smoother pull and crisper break. They were original STG 58 parts FWIW. |
