I’ve been eyeing the Keltec KS7 for awhile now. I like it, but not the price tag. From all the Turkish shotgun threads, I stumbled upon the Escort Bulltac 12G pump. The biggest two differences that stand out are - the Escort ejects to the right, where the Keltec ejects down. And since the Escort is an import, it’s 5+1, where the Keltec is 7+1. Well, 3&4 is the Escort is $250, and Turkish. The Keltec is $550ish and made in USA. This would be a fun gun/ range toy. Just looking for real world experiences, good or bad. I’d like to add, yes I have more serious shotguns. I’m just looking for a bullpup shotgun/plinker. Any feedback would uod be appreciated. Also, if anyone has any recommendations in the bullpup category with a price of $300 or less, that works, please let me know. Thanks everyone. |

I’d be looking at a semi auto for a range toy. Possibly an AK mag fed variant but there are some Turkish bull pup guns. AK |

What interests me about that particular model, is it’s sill tube fed, not mag fed. The ONE YouTube video I was able to find on it, seemed to run well. Someone posted about it here a few months ago and had decent things to say. For the $250 I've seen them for, it's worth the chance. They said it functions fine, so why not. They just offered one that is pump and it takes detachable magazines that interest me. I saw it at mentioned at the Shot show. I already have some spare mags for my others cheap Turkish semi bullpup. They mags help with quick mag changes and capacity issues of tube shotguns. |

If just a range toy, then no problem. If for possible 'serious social use' then I suggest something w/a tube magazine. |

Yes, I'm aware of the shell deformation issue. I've owned Saiga-12 and Vepr-12 shotguns in the past. I actually have an AGP Saiga-12 mag that's been sitting fully loaded for 10-12 years. But I'll give it a go next time I go to the outdoor range. I only have a SDS Civet-12 pump gun that takes Saiga-12 mags, but it should give me an idea of how it works. I'm really overloaded with shotguns, so the Escort Bulltac would really be a toy that I could use in a pinch as a defensive weapon. I usually have my Remington 870 Wingmaster as my go-to HD shotgun. But I also have a Benelli M1 and IWI TS12 if I wanted to mix it up. I just figured that for $250, I'd be interested in it. If it runs great, if not I have something to play around with. I spend nearly that much when my wife and I go out for a nice dinner and concert. It reminds me of the good old days when you could get Chinese guns, AK/FAL parts kits, and surplus stuff on the cheap. I know I took them for granted and should have gotten way more. |

The Bulltac Pump is decent, I bought one for $200 and its worth the money. It is heavier than the KS7 which is fine as the KS7 kicks more. It is a fun gun that works well, that is all I have to say about it. It has given me no trouble and seems solid. It's mag tube is crimped so it only holds 5 rounds but fine enough for me really. The Bulltac is a pump shotgun with a tube magazine - not the magazine fed Bullpup,

I looked into the tube. The tube can’t be swaged out because the magazine end cap is plastic and pressed in. That crimp holds the spring and end cap into the mag tube. Also, the end of the mag tube is not threaded. If there is a way to add more capacity, then I am not aware of it. |
