I'm manufacturing an SBR (on an AR lower), and my engraver made a boo-boo.  He corrected his mistake, but the final product doesn't look very good.

So I'm wondering if anyone can recommend a specialist in "engraving repair" and refinishing who's also a Class 2 SOT.  My form 1 hasn't come back yet, but I wouldn't want to leave anyone "holding the bag".

The last person I saw that did this work was Ed at Homeland Defense Police Supply out of TN.  The pictures I saw looked great and there was no noticeable marks.  The problem is that he has been very tough to get in touch with going back even before the election.  If he is still working, I would give him a shot.

I think Orion does repair and refinishing as well as engraving, but I am not positive.

http://www.HDPS.org did mine when my engraver screwed up, and they did a fantastic job. Here is my thread from the archive. I have also heard outstanding reviews on Orion Arms, and currently have a lower there being engraved.

I'm at work, and can't see if the pictures still work. If they don't, I'll post them back in up when I get home.

I did all of mine on a CNC mill. Its too easy .05 deep.

Theres no way I was going to send the guns out to be engraved.

you could mill the spot he engraved and re-do it. The annodizing will be gone though.
