Ok, anyone have a good suggestion on how to dry 2-4k cases after washing in lemishine?  I usually dry cases outside but it is now under 32 degrees.

i tried the oven before but i had it at a lower temp.  200 won't mess with the brass?

Man I gotta be tired. Now why didn`t I think of that?
I almost said, gallon of gas, 1 lit match.

I usually set mine for warm, which is 175.  I only leave them for 20-25 minutes.  I haven't noticed any ill effects.

Brass won't undergo any mechanical changes until about 495F even then they would have to soak at that temp for a few minutes.

ETA, full annealing would take about an hour at 600F

I dry cases on top of the woodstove in my workshop. Takes about 15 minutes per tray.

I tumble them with stainless steel media and my tumbler only holds about 200-300 pieces.  I lay them on their sides and I use two trays.  If I had a bunch, I'd just pile 'em up and leave 'em longer.

I leave mine on a window screen laying on my bench with a fan blowing. Having them on a screen (elevated off the table) allows for air to circulate and the fan helps the evaporation process.

I blow them out with compressed air a fist full at a time....then lay them out on towels.....they will then dry overnight.

Dehydrator when I'm impatient and don't want to wait for them to dry. Takes about 30 minutes.

Lots of different ways to dry cases.

First time someone has mentioned a dehydrator.

I've got 5 trays for my dehydrator. You can dry a LOT of brass at once on 5 trays.

Best recommendation after rinsing is to tumble them in a media separator like the big Dillon.  Then dump onto a towl and with another towl go over the brass to remove any drops.  Then throw all 4k into the oven at once(per-heat is good), 200 Deg for 2 hours, they always come out dry and spotless.  I have 4 large, deep cake pans just for this, and we have separate ones to bake cakes in lol.

In the summer, I like many put them in the sun, and the sun works really good.

I used to dry them on towels layed out on the bathroom floor, I now do the same but in the bathtub.

On top of the hot water heater works for me when it's frosty outside here in Idaho.

i am using 2 disposable alum trays from walmart.  i put them in the oven for 1 hr so then into the tumbler for however long.  there is still some water in the flash holes but it doesn't seem to mess with the media too bad.  i have done 3k so far out of 7k

The cheapest way I found was to put them inside wire baskets and blow on it with the fan that comes out of my dehumidifier in my basement.  The dehumidifier has to be on 24/7 anyway and so there is absolutely no cost.  The dry air coming out of it can dry your brass in 48 hours no problem.  Works even faster if the primer is already out.

I spread washed brass out on an old bath towel and point a little fan at them overnight
