Whats up guys, So this last year I was able to obtain one of the rifles I have been looking for, for a long while now. The Daewoo DR200(since we cannot have the K2 in my fine state). The Daewoo came with the thumbhole stock and a barrel with a twist rate of 1-12. Now 1-12 is all good but I just wanted a bit more of a versatile gun, so the quest of making custom 1-7 barrels came into being. Now I know the K2 came with a 1-7 stock but again we cannot import those in our fine state nor were there an abundance of old stock barrels. Long story short I teamed up with a buddy machinist of mine who is known to some for building some fine custom barrels and we are almost done. I will post some pics. Specs on barrels - Green Mtn Blanks 4150 Steel 16inch will be threaded 1/2-28 custom AR barrel extension(Daewoo Barrel extension is longer) Twist rate is 1-7 Barrels will be drop in - just need to get a smith to drill gas port Cant wait till mine is done and will post some pics of range trip... Tony the biggest difference is stock DR200 barrels had a twist rate of 1-12 and were 18inches long. Since they were postban as well they had a funky muzzle device that was welded on the barrel. The barrels we are making are cut to 16inches with 1-7 twist rate and front thread pitch of 1/2-28 so you can put any device on there... This would be more a niche thing for daewoo owners looking to have a spare barrel or to change it up so they can shoot some heavier rounds. It was more a pet project for me but figured I could get some more built as to offer to other owners. Thanks, D |

Should be done this week... needless to say alot of time and effort went into these to make them drop in. Latest pic shows cut for front sling as well.

FYI pricing will be set at 550 shipped. There was a lot of work that went into getting these right, and actually had to invest in some special tools needed to do some of the fabrications. At the moment will do a 10 barrel limited run. Once they are all done we will post them in EE Sales. The Barrels will be 16inch, however if you are interested in getting a shorter barrel 14.5, we can do that but we need to work that out with some sort of deposit. Also the barrels will be cross posted in a few sites so first come first serve. Thanks, Dale |
