BRW links marked S63 are the best. There are later links, but all are kind of hard to find now, and they are marked XM-27, and they work fine. Do not confuse with Minimi M27 links, since you need a new feed mechanism for them to work on the Stoner, and Knight is the only one with the parts.
A buddy bought a can of links at the Hampton, VA show for his belt fed AR15 conversion. He shipped them to the company to be converted to the Ciner/Colt system and they sent them back telling him they were worth more as Stoner links. He got $1 a link up to 100, and .75 cents a link over 100. He ended up paying for half the conversion work on his gun. Try Jarry Tarble in Marshall, IL for links. Good luck |
Open the top cover and look act the actuation arm for the feed unit and if there is a M27 stamped on it then it is one of the ones made by Reed Knight for M27 links. Otherwise it is a standard Stoner feed lever. Some Stoners even with the stock arm will feed M27 links but they maybe real picky. |
