| I live in Florida and my question is if its really difficult to obtain the Chief of Police's coveted signature and is it easier depending on which county you live in eg:Dade,Broward or Monroe and Lee.Question two is are you really giving up your rights in order to obtain this permit,I've heard the police can now search your house on a whim or impulse without a warrant. Also I'm pretty sure if your in Law Enforcement and know the chief then he'll probably just sign off without a hitch. |
It is easier to get a signature from some CLEO's than others. This is why I didn't even bother to try. I used a revocable living trust for all my NFA weapons. No CLEO signature, fingerprints, or photographs required. As to that last thing you "heard" about, you don't give up any rights. Any law enforcement that needs to search your house has to get a warrant. Don't believe everything you read on the internet. BTW, it's a class 3 license to deal in NFA firearms, but if you refer to them, it's title II weapons, or NFA weapons. |
