Couple guys at work and I were talking and I mentioned that I dabble in Cerakote. They asked me to paint some non-firearms for shits and giggles...things like backpacking water bottles, etc. First items are a couple of old Nalgene water bottles, which are made out of Lexan (Polycarbonate and not the new BPA-free bottles they make now). What's the prep process for ploycarbonate? I have 60 grit Al2O3 that I use for other Cerakote projects...can I use that media on polycarbonate? I would imagine you'd have to dial the air pressure back since polycarbonate is quite a bit softer than metal. What are the Cerakote colors for basic Multicam? (Not Multicam black or arid...just the OG Multicam). Thanks! |

I’m guessing air cure? How flexible is it the poly? You can get by with 60grit of your doing it on hard surfaces (80 is as big as I’d personally go), but if you’re spraying it on something with some flex you’re going to want 100 grit of you want it to last.
