I Priority Mailed my order for a Special Grade M1 Garand from CMP on Wednesday, 4/11, and CMP received it on Friday, 4/13.  This is to be my son and my 'shooter' because the HRA Correct Grade is just too valuable and too pristine to wear out so it will be retired as we did with my '43 NPM 30 Carbine a couple of months ago.   Anyway, they responded with their standard 30-60 days or more email the following Tuesday, 4/17, and said that additional emails would follow showing progress through sales to shipping.
This afternoon, 4/26, I got an email saying that my Garand had shipped this morning and would arrive tomorrow, 4/27!!!      I can't believe the speed of processing because before I ordered it, I called the store and they told me that they were running at least 60 days out. Thirteen days from order receipt to shipment; WOW!!!!
I'm stoked and will post pictures, etc. after it arrives.

They got my paper work on the 9th and my rifle arrived today that's about a week faster than last time I ordered.

CMP is real hard to predict.  It seems their sales are in a constant feast or famine cycle.

Just be thankful its not the good old days of the DCM.  One rifle per lifetime and usually took ONE YEAR.

No kidding, I hope I'm that lucky.  I sent in for a Springfield Service Grade on 04-20 and haven't got my email yet.  It will absolutely be worth the wait if she looks like that one.

They must be backed up...some people who sent in on the 18th already have their stuff in the e-store. I sent in on the 19th and haven't even had confirmation of receipt yet.

As much as I hate being in the dark about the timeline, the last thing I want to do is bug them and get my stuff bumped to the bottom of the pile.  Just have to be patient and wait it out, that's what I keep telling myself.  Yet I keep checking my email every 20 minutes anyway, just in case...

Wait til you see our new one.  It's beautiful!!  Gorgeous patterned stock with considerable figure throughout and it's been parkerized so with the new stock and barrel, the rifle looks brand new.   After breaking it down it's also clear that it was made up using either very low mile or NOS Springfield parts.  The Springfield bolt is NOS for sure as there are still light machining marks on the bolt lugs that will wear off in the first 50 rds or so, the op rod looks to be NOS as well with the piston at .526" with the 'D' modification, the trigger groups looks to have no wear either; in short, everything shows no wear signs at all.
Further, it has the early style forged trigger housing and trigger guard with the hole in the rear.  So, save for the new CMP marked stock and the new Criterion barrel, it's all Springfield; some early and some late but still all Springfield.  The tag says it was assembled in September, 2009, which explains why it was so fast getting here. It also came with a cotton sling and CMP hard case as well.   It's worth every penny it cost and it's a definite keeper.  Pictures will have to wait as we're going on a trip next Thursday to Spain, Portugal, and Morocco until late May and my son took it home to ogle it while we're gone.
ETA:
I forgot to mention that now both M1 Garands have unusual serial numbers.  The HRA is a Palindrome (reads the same front to back or back to front) while the new Springfield ends has an even thousand s/n (xxxx000).  I think that's interesting.
Also, my son called this morning and said he wanted to come down today to go to the range and christen the Garand so I said, "Come on down!"  He got here just before lunch (he's not stupid) and so after we fed him, off we went to the range.  I let him have the honors of christening it and so he let em rip.  We broke it in shooting a couple rds, cleaning the barrel, and then shooting a couple more.  All went well and it functioned perfectly even though it's still a bit stiff and just starting to break in.
Let me tell you, this thing is a shooter!!  The Criterion barrel is accurate as all get out.  My son was able to hit a bowling pin at 300 yds with only 3 shots after we broke it in.  I took on a 2 liter pop bottle at 300 yds and whomp, it exploded.  What a ball to shoot.  If you can see it, you just need to aim and you'll hit it.  Great fun.
BTW, some pictures of our new toy along with our HRA (for some reason the forestock looks a bit yellow in these pictures but doesn't in person).
Our New Springfield Special.  Note the nice stock.  Like I said, it shoots like a dream:

A couple pictures of the 'boys':
