After lurking on here for a good five years I figured it was time to document and get input on a potential build. Let me know what you think. Most parts may or may not already be ordered:

Lower
Noveske Gen2 FFL Lower Receiver
Daniel Defense Lower Receiver Parts Kit
Battle Arms Development Ambidextrous Safety Selector (BAD-ASS) + Geissele SSA Combo
Magpul CTR
Magpul MOE-K
Noveske QD End Plate

Upper
Noveske MUR (Modular Upper Receiver) w/Forward Assist
Rainier Arms Raptor Ambidextrous Charging Handle (Made by AXTS)
Geissele 10" SMR (Super Modular Rail) MK1 - Black

I will probably go with a  Daniel Defense CHF barrel, and some type of receiver extension that I have yet to narrow down to brand. I am also holding out for a BCM carrier.

I am having second thoughts about going with the Geissele rail, even though it is on the new BCM Jack. The idea behind this build is to be as bombproof as possible but the weight savings of rails such as the Noveske NSR has me questioning myself. Right choice? Opinions?

Sounds like a nice build. But since we all have preferences, and I've used a lot of those parts, here's mine:

Geiselle SSA-E or SD-E is nicer than the SSA or SD-C. It's a pound lighter, and makes for the perfect all-around trigger.
Magpul CTR is lackluster in comparison to the LMT Sopmod, which is like a couch made for your face. Find them on the EE for $150 shipped.
MOE-K I haven't used, but I have used an MOE and an MOE+. The rubberized MOE+ absolutely ROCKS.
QD end plate won't matter, your stock has QD mounts.

As for the rail, lighter is almost always better. I have a Troy Alpha and love it. Only downside is that it gets hot. The Noveske rail looks super nice as well. The Alpha is rock solid, and I've only heard good things about the Noveske, so I wouldn't worry about trying to be more bombproof than that.

While the Geissele SSA-E is a lighter and "better" trigger, it is not well-suited for stressful situations. I would rather have a bit heavier pull for obvious reasons.

I may opt for the B5 Sopmod. Pretty much the same thing, also used in .mil, and cheaper.

I have an MOE+ on another build, and wanted to try something a bit less angled. Also looking at the BCM Gunfighter Grip.

True...

I agree with lighter is almost always better, but how can you say no to this rail:

That is a beautiful rail...I'm a sucker for lightweight components. The only thing that's heavy on my rifle is the suppressor hanging off the end.

I'd probably use the BCM grip before the MOE K...that K just looks painful.

Waiting for the B5 Systems SOPMOD Bravo stocks to stick up at BCM again, then ordering one along with the grip.

Now all that is left to decide is what barrel length (11.5 or 12.5 Daniel Defense CHF), and whether or not to Cerakote the upper and lower in graphite black/some type of grey.
