There's enough discussion about baffle erosion this thread should get tacked to the front page.

Plus, these are always interesting photos to look at!

Having trouble capturing mine. It looks similar to that of GeneralPurpose. Mine's a 762-SDN-6 which has seen ~100 rounds of 300 BLK and about ~3500-4k of 5.56 through a 10.5" SBR. There is some carbon build up on the walls of the blast area.

Here is a picture of my muzzle brake though. Most of the ammo its seen has been 77gr Noslers over 24.0gr of Ramshot TAC.

Easiest way to get a good picture is with a cell phone camera and flash turned on. Put the camera right up against the open end of the can, tap in the middle of the screen to focus it on the baffles, and hit the capture button.

AAC 762SDN6 with approx 5500rnds down the tube. About 4500 of that being on an 11.5" SBR in 5.56 with a brake, and the remainder being a mix of .308 out of a 16" barrel and 26" barrel. The first chamber on the brake on the SBR is cratered pretty badly. The second chamber has some wear as well. Can't say how much it's protected the blast baffle as that's made of inconel and the brake isn't, but I'm going to switch over to a flash hider shortly as I'm tired of the concussion when I shoot unsuppressed. If you only shoot suppressed it's certainly the way to go. If not, seriously consider a flash hider instead.

Surefire 556212, the old standby "K can".  Between 6-7 thousand rounds.  I've used it on both brakes and flash hiders.

It's about an ounce heavier than it was when it was new.

Here is the blast baffle of my Griffin Armament Sportsman .30 DT.

170 rounds so far.   Mostly .308 on an 18" barrel with approximately 20 rounds of .22-250 mixed in.     The Sportsman is 100% 7075 Aluminum.    The blast baffle has a machined radius on it's face, so that's not wear that you're seeing.

This pic is Griffin's Cornerstone "brake" which is made from 17-4 PH.    It's not so much of a "brake" as it is an interchangeable thread module.    It does serve to reduce wear on the blast baffle, but Griffin warns against using it as a stand alone brake.   Not the best pic, but it's the best my LG G3 could do.     No wear on either the blast baffle, or Cornerstone mount.

I'll try to get some this weekend. The last time I looked it wasn't bad at all. My YHM brakes must be made of softer material because 1000 rounds through one of those had really noticeable wear. So much so that I replaced it. I'll try to get some pics of that one too if I didn't throw it away.

Apparently just using poly coated bullets doesn't always stop leading. Here's a Bowers VERS-9s after maybe 5000 rounds.

Further investigation shows not only does the Uzi barrel that fired most of these rounds have a rough bore that tends to strip the coating, it is also excessively oversized. More to come with regard to that.

BTW, here's what the can looks like now. Total cost was just shipping to Tom and back.
