| I sent my paperwork in 4 months ago on several suppresors (my first), the checks have long been cashed but no word yet. I know I have no background problem and I am sure there is a backup but as I sent my forms in well before the election shoudn't I have heard something by now? |
| Not necessarily, they have been taking a little longer recently. Give the ATF a call(304-616-4500) with the serial number and they will give you a status. They will not tell you when it will be approved, but they will tell you when/if it went pending. Currently it looks like about 4-5 weeks from pending to approved, but yours may be different. |

My latest can is being rebuilt by the manufacturer I dont really care how long it takes, just as long as its back from Norcross by the time my stamp comes in.
BTW this is a demo can that my dealer sent back to have them rebuild before I took posession of it for me. |

They are slowing down.
Sent in august - 38 days to go pending. send in oct - 43 days to go pending. send in nov - 56 days to go pending. They are slowing down. Time to go pending is before your examiner even looks at it. Some are fast, some are slow, some are a crapshoot. My examiner runs about 7-8 wees after pending, so I'll be at about 4 months when the last ones come around. |

im waiting for one my dealer had in stock back in april 23, 08. 9~ months!! I called him in december 08 to see if he'd heard anything and he said they are slowly coming in no word yet...no i dont have the serial number from him.. err!! Based on 9 months, you trusted the dealer to send in the paperwork. He either didn't do it promptly, or he was waiting for another silencer serial number for your papers. 9 months is obscene. If you submitted in mid october, you should have it now. Call your dealer and get the s/n. Call in yourself and ask the status. It either hasn't been sitting there for 9 months, or it has some huge issue.... |
