Not to beat a dead horse, but these are new-to-market, so... Another trip to the range with it. Picked up every shot, but once again failed to sync the app. Attached File Attached File It just shows a string with zero shots. It does this every time, if it even shows the string at all. |

I’m inbetween phones at the moment Had a android and never had any connectivity issues I now have a loaner iPhone Not sure if it’s because it was connected to my old phone first or the firmware update but I cannot get the device to sync my old data with the loaner phone. Once I save all my data from the old phone I may try and format the chronograph and go from there |

I won't be cancelling my order, I will force them to honor the price they offered or cancel the order themselves. I will send a complaint to the state AG office if they show the item in stock after not honoring my order. The customer service people there have no clue and cannot or will not answer whether any Rangecrafts have been received from Athlon or shipped to anyone from SG. |

| I called Cameraland and they said orders placed in June will be shipped in July. Sportsman Guide said only that they had not gotten to my order that was placed a month ago. I've got my old Beta Chrony but it would be nice to have the Athlon. Cameraland was a few $$$ less than SGs. |
| Just ordered mine from Cabelas earlier today. With 10% off today for card members, 10% Active Junky cash back, and I had a bunch of cabelas points so it ended up being so cheap that I couldnt resist ordering one. Already shipped and fedex says itll be here thursday. |

I don't usually shop at Cabelas since they got bought out and got rid of their bargain cave. I'll be canceling my optics planet order. As of right now the best straight up deal seems to be Midway. They have an automatic 10% off and free shipping. $360 all in (+tax) and in stock as of a few minutes ago. I didn't get the best price from Cabelas but it was a good chance to redeem my points that may have ended up expiring before I had a chance to use them. Thanks...I think. |

Unit arrived today. I was RSO today so I thought I'd get a chance to test it. The unit stand alone is fantastic. The app, not so much. I can't get it to synch data. I connect etc following the directions to a T. The app identifies the unit but won't synch. The unit info doesn't stay saved and I have to reconnect constantly. I've tried locating the current firmware but that is elusive for sure. I've tried searching for an update on the app and this is what I get. Attached File As you can see the button is grayed out and I get the error message. I go to manage and try to synch, I get a "success" but nothing show up. Kinda frustrated but it still beats the shit out of the old way. |

Even after the new app update and firmware update, it would still disconnect from the app about three seconds after connecting. I then deleted the unit, and re-paired it. It seems to stay connected now. Not sure if also turning on my location services was a factor or not. Might test it out tomorrow, weather permitting. Athlon tech support came out to see how it was doing for me. What a great company.  on-site technical support! |

Sportsman's Guide FINALLY processed my credit card for the Athlon Rangecraft that I ordered in April with an ETA of May 5th. I would have been frustrated had I needed it, but I am pleased to have only spent $299 for it. I have no major concerns on the reliability, I'm certain Athlon will make it right. |

Used mine for the first time today. I had to do the update twice before it sank in kinda weird but whatever. App is clunky but mostly works. I could pick the rifle but it wouldn’t let me pick the bullet and sync the data together. Maybe it’s me. But overall happy with it. Got to try out my hunting rounds for my 308. Attached File |

Do I need to delete the App too? I don’t see an App update feature? EDIT There are two seperate updates depending on when your device shipped. 1. is the phone APP. 2. is the firmware on the chronograph. I suggest updating the APP first. For anyone needing to update the app, if on an Apple device go to the App store and hit update there. Easy peasy. Now updating the firmware was a damned nuisance. It froze up while downloading six or seven times. Finally I kept tapping the screen every so often to not let the phone sleep in case that was part of the freeze, It either worked or was a coincidence but it made it to the end when I did it that way. I did finally figure out how to input rifles but I did not figure out how to enter a pistol. Frankly the software kind of blows. Nothing is intuitive except for a basic running of a string generically. It is exceptional doing that. I was doing only that for a month and just scribbling data on my targets as a record. I may end up staying on that path! |
The only hyphenated names I like are cartridge names......30-06, 30-40, 38-55 etc.
