This has been a long term grail build - I always liked the look of the PDW 10-22 on the 80s book from Palidin Press "The 10-22 Exotic Weapons System" I never bought the book but it was one of those early 80s how-to DIY semi-to full conversions - I don't care about that - just liked the look of the "cartoon" 10-22 on the cover. I think a 3D printer, and a PDW folding/retractable stock from a PPs-43 or a PM-63 might make a cute PDW. Attached File |

We had one in all metal around 20 years ago called the Sub Zero, it was designed after that book cover. My guess is we only sold around 50 of them, SBRs were not like they are today. and yes, I had or still have that book, super cool. We took that book to high school and built "things" out of that book, during class, using the same system to cover sound that the the prisoners did in the movie The Great Escape. |

The stock, chassis and shroud could all easily be modeled and 3d printed. Use wood grain PLA for the chassis, and black PA6-CF for the stock and shroud and it would closely approximate the look. If you posted that over in the 3d printing subforum asking for someone to model it and make an STL file I bet there would be a couple people that would do it. |
