My point really was that all I find on the AAC website is this: There are two different options for 5/8-24, a deep and standard socket. Deep socket is for .75" barrels and smaller(profile behind the threads) and the standard socket fits all profiles. Just reading the quoted text yields the conclusion that the standard socket is the best choice because it fits all profiles! I would think that knowing which adapters index on the muzzle vs the shoulder would be pretty useful. Maybe not on the front page if it scares off more casual users, but somewhere readily located would be good - and maybe I'm just too stupid to have found that place already

You are correct. The standard socket is completely non-barrel profile dependent, and should work with any barrel that has a .625" length of 5/8 x 24 thread.
If there is ever anything that is not made clear on the website, don't hesitate to reach out for clarification. Our list of things that we'd like/we need to do with the existing website is practically endless. If we can answer questions a bite at a time, that's what we're here for. I would like to have them upgraded but but don't think it is fair for me to pay $500 to have it done. The mount design is flawed. I just picked up a NOS Tirant9 from my dealer.
I am using the AAC Trilug adapter and I put it on my MP5K clone but, I am a bit worried. Once mounted the silencer has some wobble, like the spring in the adapter is not long enough to lock up tight. I have a AAC Blackout flashider trilug that locks up solid. Is this normal for the Tirant9 or does this need to be looked at? |

My best suggestion would be to send it back to us again for a more in-depth evaluation. We can group it on some of the 9mm host carbines/subguns we have and see if we can get to the bottom of the issue. If we see the same POI shift, we can recore the can with a new interface and see if that does not fix the issue.
