Greetings all,
I submitted two forms to the ATF one for an sbr and the other for a silencer. Both forms were in the same envelope and each check was paper clipped to its individual form. The ATF has cashed one of the checks but it has been two weeks and the other has not still hit the bank, Should I be worried? Regards, Zuukz |

Regards, Zuukz I thought Form 1's and Form 4's were supposed to be mailed to different locations (WVA vs ATL). Can anyone confirm or deny? Also, I was under the impression that one of those (can't remember which) ends up sending the check to the other for actual cashing? |

I'm a little concerned with mine as well.
Oct 2012, I mailed two form 4's(two suppressors), two checks in one envelope. Package arrived (to Atlanta I recall?)in less than a week, checks were cashed 1 day later. I just sent off two form 1's(two sbr's) to WV. Mailed on the 16th, didn't get tracking info this time, but it's been more than a week, and the checks are NOT cashed yet. Looking at the NFA timeline thread, checks have normally been cashed a few days after the forms have been received, for both Form 1's and Form 4's |

It was more like 10-14 days and this was back in March. I wouldn't worry just yet. |
| The BATF lost the check that my dealer sent in with my paperwork (I paid the dealer $200 cash and they wrote the check for me). The BATF did notify my dealer, but my dealer had to resend all my paperwork with another check and my paperwork went back to the bottom of the pile. In an already long wait, it was a bummer to learn about another two or three month delay. |

I use Postal Money Orders, they say it cuts about a week to two weeks off the waiting period. Never had a problem, I send it with a tracking number to know when it's received, first time I did this was last year, two forms one form one, one form four. Each had it's own check, two copies of the form and a copy of the trust. Received my form one on a Saturday then went by the LGS on Wednesday and they had the form four which was received on Monday. They were approved with consecutive numbers, a six month wait, Sent in March, Pending in April received in August, this was 2012. Sent another form one in November 2012, Pending was in December and received it approved back this June 2013, eight month wait. Now I here it's a year. I'm done till things pick up again. |
