22lr supressor? - AR15.COM

for a long time ive wanted a suppressor...decided a 22lr was the way to go...

ill prolly get more use out of that than anythin else...besides, a subsonic 223 is little more than a 22lr anyhow

any good one i should consider?

I like the intergral suppressors. I have a Ruger 10/22 with a AWC Ultra II suppressed barrel and a Ruger MKII by SWR; both are really excellent suppressors. The .22's are quiet and cheap to shoot.

naw, definitly want a screw-on can. that way i can use it on the pistol, semi rifle, and bolt gun.

more "bang for my buck" i guess

I'll second the above. I shot the AWC Ruger. It is very cool and QUIET, I mean quiet. I shot the 10/22 but you still hear the action working so I think the way to go would be to order the 77/22 bolt gun (internal suppressor) so there would be no noise at all. Besides the bullet striking meat or paper of course.

Hey somebody squeezed in on me. I like the internal suppressor. Less likely to be stolen and you won't spend all your time explaining class III stuff to people.

yeah, the integral ones seem very nice. BUT, finances dictate i get a screw on one.

any good ones i should look at?

I like the Gemtech predator. its what i want to buy. that way i can use it on .22lr as well as my ar's.

they also seem nice, but i want a dedicated 22lr suppressor to conserve weight. (a 223 can on the end of a ruger mk2 would get purdy heavy!)

SWR makes a really nice muzzle(screw-on)can also. VERY small and VERY quiet.

I to have gotten the itch for a .22 suppressor. Is the tax for a suppressor the regular $200? That almost doubles the price. Does anyone have a silenced Browning Buckmark? If so, where did you find the Barrel for it and how do you like it?

The NFA tax is $200, whether it is a FA, SBR, or suppressor. I haven't seen too many suppressed Buckmarks, but I know they can be made. I think that while Joe Gadini @ SWR does not list it as a catalog item, he does have a suppressed Buckmark as a shop/demo gun.
