I'm in the process of designing a picatinny adapter to facilitate mounting an M203 to an ARX100. The thing is, the angular housing in front of the magwell on the upper where the QD barrel latch resides prevents sliding the GL fully back, so it will protrude a couple inches forward. Thus, the 7" shorty would approximate the look of a 9" M203 on an M4:  Whereas the 9" shorty would approximate the look of a 12" M203 on an M4: I have some preference for the shorter GL just for the handiness, but can really go either way. Plan to shoot Aguila loads with a SG adapter, & practice rounds at some point. Thoughts/opinions/experiences? |
