i have a bushmaster M-4 with A1 upper i tried the iron sites no matter how much i adjust the rear site it shoots a little to the right

with scope at 200 yard 1 1/2 groups this is the 1st time i used the iron sites yes i know that the 1st thing you should do
but me and 2 sons shoot long shots ive had it for 4 months and have put over 1000++ rounds thru it

my ???  is can i fix this or will i have to send it in guys where i got the gun did a test and said there is something wrong with the front site
but they do not do any gunsmithing so send it back to bushmaster or its easy fix you can fix it yourself but there my 1 year warranty
that may get void if i try

Thanks For The Help

sorry about spelling

Check to see if your front site is on straight.  Turn the upper upside down and see if it rests evenly on the FSP or if it leans one way or another.  If it's shooting a little left, can you make any adjustments to correct it.  Not all AR's will be zero'd with the rear site in the dead center.

Three possibilities:

- The FSB is canted. (Which BM is notorious for.)
- The barrel indexing is off. (This occurs during barrel nut tightening.)
- A combination of both.
