If you want a a trigger that breaks under 3lbs go 2 stage. Otherwise I think it's better to saty with a single stage. I've not dealt that much with the Bushmaster trigger, but don't remember being overly impressed by it. Can't say the Armalite or Rock River are stellar either. Now that Jewell! That's something else. If you really think a 2 stage is for you, then there's nothing sold commercially that's going to beat it.

I've used the Armalite 2 stage trigger for a while.  I like it a lot, and it's still as smooth now as it was when it was new.  Makes a big difference.

I've heard the RRAs can turn into a one stage trigger after a lot of use...but I have no first hand experience  with that...some folks here have in the past, though.

Well you did say "competition" trigger......

Have tried a number of high end triggers and settled on the Jewell.

For that extra ca. $60.00 you get a fully adj. trigger. The beauty of it is the ease it can be adjusted in the field and easily once you get the hang of the process.

While the full trigger pull weight is affected by both stages, both the 1st. and 2nd. stages can be set individually.

Mine is set for 2 1/2 lbs. for bench work and is quick & easy {via 1st. stage} to ramp to 4 Lbs. for Gun Games.
