ANYONE HAVE AN ECONOMICAL TRIGGER FIX?
I AM THINKING ABOUT PUTTING IN A JP 3.5 SET OF SPRINGS AND HAMMER. IS THERE ANY MODS I CAN DO TO THE SPRINGS AND HAMMER AND SEAR WITHOUT SPENDING $150.00?

First, did your caps lock get turned on?...or do you enjoy screaming at everyone? Its very irritating to read.

I don't exactly get your question. Are you looking for a lighter trigger pull?...a crisper more consistant trigger pull? If thats what your looking for then I would suggest some JP reduced power springs. I have them in my AR with the stock trigger and its greatly reduced trigger pull and even gave it a much more crisp feel.

Oh and remember say no to CAPS LOCK or scuba steve may just kill you in your sleep.

There is something that for single stage stock trigger that I've heard called '15 minutes trigger job'.  you clip and bend some springs, polish some sear faces and you supposidly get a lighter, crisper trigger.

I don't know the link.

Some swear by the "15 min trigger pull fix" (I expect someone will provide a link,it escapes me) , I made an atempt, not so hot ,but  I might not have done such a good job.
I like the Rock River National Match trigger sets. They run as low as $85 when on sale, regular price over the net about $95-$99 . They drop in without much messing about, nothing to adjust (or go out of adjustment!) have a real nice pull around 3 1/2 to 3 3/4 lb. They work great with my ceiner kit and my Oly
9mm upper.  Some of the aftermarket triggers won't run a ceiner kit at all or are very spoty.
Anyone about to buy a new lower- You can get them from RR with the NM trigger installed from the factory and the lower with the NM trigger is somewhat cheeper than a lower and the trigger as an aftermarket part set. ( You don't wind up with a spare mil-spec trigger but who cares. )

+1 on the RRA NM trigger!  I put them in all my builds now.  I don't consider a rifle complete without it!

I just splash some CLP on them and drop them in, push the pins through and I'm done.  You get a great trigger and they WORK.

I do have a DPMS lower where the hammer pin tends to walk though, but I tried a different pin and it seems to have quit it.  Otherwise anti-walk pins are a good bet anytime anyway...

OH... one more thing.  Just about anyone will swap in an RRA trigger if you order a kit or LPK, and I think a lot of the complete rifle builders will install them when they build your rifle for about $85 additional usually.

Like I said in another thread, a match trigger is hands-down the BEST addition you can make to your rifle.  It's like the difference between a stock military 98 mauser trigger and a M700 Remington!

Easy adjuster to make with basic metal working tools and replaces the grip screw.
I made this one in about 30 min. and it's just a 1/4-28 X 1" allen head that is drilled thru and tapped 8X32 with an adjusting screw thru the center that touches and pushes up the rear of the trigger.  I found it easy to take up the first stage on my trigger and that was all I wanted.
Brownells sells this for around $44.00, a description is available in the catalog.
Easy item to make but I suggest that it MUST be installed and adjusted by someone who understands the trigger unit as it can be dangerous otherwise.

Yep.  I used to have one of these.  While it was nice to have the takeup adjusted - it caused premature wear on my sear enagement surface - I assume because the trigger was never allowed to completely clear out of the way.  I think the 15 minute trigger job did better overall at imprving the stock trigger.

I ended up pitching it for a RRA 2-stage.  I think I have those in 4 rifles now.
