Ok I did some searching but didn't find the same issue I am having. This is a colt ar bought from Wal-Mart. I have put a timminy trigger it and a spikes buffer. I also bought  dpms 20" target barrel used for it. I started noticing that if I ejected the live round after firing a couple (not empty the mag) that the live round had a mark where the pin had hit the primer. Its not enough to fire the round but makes good mark in it. I removed the bcg  and give it a good cleaning as well as everything else.It still does this. I then traded the bcg out of the colt barrel into this and still does it. Also tried different ammo. Store bought 55gr as well as reloaded ammo. I am new to ar rifles so I need some help. I thought maybe a head space problem but after some reading don't think that is the issue. any suggestion would help thanks R Gaylord

I also had that thought. But wasn't sure i have a second one i will see what it does. Or do they all do this?. Its kind of scary to pick up an ejected round and see this.
Thanks
