just ordered a PSA lower so I can start my first build and first AR.  chances are the build will take a while as I am building as funds become available (hence not buying a complete rifle right now)

Looking around at LPKs and reviews seems to have most LPKs on the same plane as far as springs etc.  I am looking at just basic LPKs and triggers.  I see lots of positive reviews on the RRA 2 stage, but not a whole lot on just the basic trigger.

Are most big name basic triggers all pretty equal, or are there any that stand out above the rest?  How about any to avoid?

Cant say much but I just got a couple of the ALG triggers from Midway.
It is a very basic trigger, no frills and stock weight, ~6lbs.
But its a very, VERY nice stock trigger. Pretty good for $45. Certainly better than the old Colt that came with my A1 kit.

If you dig around you will find that Stag/CMT and DD kits have pretty good mil spec triggers included.
As stated above the ALG QMS for $45 is a good mil spec trigger.

Combine any of them with a $10 JP spring kit, the set screw mod and you will like them even more.
