I've seen an "M" ID mark on both ARand M16 hammers and triggers over the past few years. In fact, just "dehorned" an "M" marked M16 hammer to use as an unnotched replacemnt for an "M" marked notched BM piece. Anyone know who these folks are?

The way I understand it, LAR bought out Martin/Marietta and they supply stuff marked "M". I have a "M" stamped upper that came from Jacks Black Rifle Shop in PA, I emailed him after this came up in another thread, and he knows one of the partners in the company so I guess he should know. He said they supply some uppers and lowers to Bushmaster and DPMS, now I dont know if they also supply the parts your refering to but maybe it will get you in the right direction, I also sent you an email pertaining to this also.

So it looks like we're all a bit up in the air about the M mark. Ah well. The pieces are well made. They work, and hold up; and I guess that's the important thing  .(And this is just a sneaky way to bump the topic, on the off chance someone who knows hasn't seen the original posting yet  )
