Both are good scopes. I did not like the FFP on the SWFA. I sold my SWFA 1-6x and now use a Vortex PST 1-4x until I find something I like better.

Mind telling me why you sold the SWFA for the PST?

The FFP bothered me. When on 1x the reticle was fine with the illumination. On 6x the outer ring will bleed into your sight picture. It would be better if that circle disappeared further inside so this wouldn't happen. Other then that, it's a great scope. Glass is a little better then the PST. They are also built like tanks.

I actually like the PST better for the must part. I'm looking hard at this scope.

Hmm.  You think the "bleeding" effect will happen on the swfa1-4?

Probably. It's not an issue if you don't plan on using the illumination on 6x. It's really a good scope, it just didn't work for me.

It doesn't 'bleed' on 4x because the entire red circle is in the view.  It's simply visible (and a little busy).  I actually prefer the SWFA 1-4x 'T' reticle over either.

The SWFA 1-4x is a good scope.  Did you want FFP or SFP?  Both will get most jobs done easily.

It doesn't look like that reticle is available anymore.

Yeah I was not able to find the T reticle.  FFP doesn't bother me. I don't actually think I'd be doing much ranging with a 1-4 but if I did, I would imagine I would put it on 4x so SFP wouldn't be an issue.
