[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Vortex

I know the Vortex line is supposed to be gtg but I just cant buy something for an AR made in China. It just doesnt feel right to me. Anyone else feel this way? Just wondering. So far I have only heard good things about Vortex.

Generally I would say the same. However, after reading their reviews and warranty, I bought one. So far I have been very happy with it.

We have a lot of riflescopes that are made in Japan and the Philippines, not everything in our line is made in China.

Same here. Actually, it's not just the fact that they're made overseas, but that coupled with some of their blatant ripoffs (Strikefire = Aimpoint M series, S.P.A.R.C. = Aimpoint Micro). It's one thing to manufacture something overseas for cost, but completely another to copy an existing design just to get in on market share and tout it as "quality."
