I was just wondering what the differences between these two slings are. It appears to me that they both have a virtually identical design and concept, but I'm sure that are at least some minute differences between them. Like which one is made of better/more durable materials, which has better stitching or hardware, etc. Or am I totally wrong and these two slings don't have the same basic design? Thanks. |

Hmm.. looking at more pics I do see exactly what you mean about the slider instead of a tail that you cinch down. Which one tightens down more snugly? Or do both tighten just as good. I ask, because I saw the VTAC demo video on YouTube, and I know that it can be used as a shooting sling in a supported position (ie: kneeling, prone), but is the VCAS also that secure - that it can be used as a shooting sling? I'll have to say that if the VCAS does all the things that the VTAC does (ie: holds weapon secure when not in use, easy to transition, cinches down to make a shooting sling), it surely seems more appealing, as a result of its slider and better materials - that way you don't get a long tail hanging down. |
