I have a Colt MT6400C that I got pretty cheap and I want to make some changes.  Regarding the upper, the barrel is not threaded and has a pinned compensator on it.  I would like to have the barrel cut down, threaded and have a Vortex permanently installed on it.  I also want to get the FSB shaved and get a DD Lite rail put on.

Can the DD Lite rail be put on after the Vortex is permanently installed and the FSB is shaved?  I am trying to get that done first, then have the rail put on later as funds allow.

I will use ADCO for the work since they have done a great job in the past.  Do they install rails?  I didn't see it on their website.  I've emailed them but I figure they are pretty busy because I have not heard back and they always answer pretty quickly.

Thanks for your help.

The DD lite has it's own barrel nut so you need to install the rail and gas block prior to  welding on the muzzle device.

Given the taste for Kolt Koolaid around these parts, I'd sell the barrel as is and buy what I wanted. You'll get more for an unaltered Colt as some here believe they have healing powers or something.
