Can I do a trigger job myself?  My stag arms lower is a bit on the heavy side.

You can do a search for the 15-minute trigger job or just buy a set of reduced power springs from Brownells (JP or Yellow Tavern).

Will the reduced power springs cause Light strikes?

There have been a few reports about FTF due to light primer strikes, but none have reported what ammo was used at the time.  I haved used SA battle packs 55 g fmj, Fed Am Eagle 55 gr fmj, UMC/Remington 55 gr fmj, Win Q3131a, and a few others with no problems.

Worst that can happen, if you have a problem, you put new springs back in, and have only wasted $3 worth of springs.   And your trigger is still less gritty than before.
