I am looking for information on a trigger guard I saw.  It was in the latest issue of SureFires "Combat Tactics" and is located on page 44.  I would scan a photo but am worried about copyright laws.  The trigger guard iscurved down, similiar to a Thompson Center, but not as long.  Anybody know who or what makes this?

Welcome to the boards.  The only non-standard guard I know of is the new one from MagPul.

As long as your properly attribute it, fair-use laws make it legal to do a limited scan&post.

You forgot Oberland Arms. However, I don't seem to see it on either their or BufferTech's websites.

firecaptain - the trigger guard you're talking about is made by knight's (based loosely on an old tangodown concept design).  not many were made, IIRC.  i also answered your question when you posted it in glock talk - check out the thread and the pic that that fellow hotlinked to from my site.
cheers,

Paraclete?  Why you...I've been drooling over the RAV, but haven't found a justification to buy it.  I got a Wasatch and it ought to do it for me

I can, here's the threadthat has many pages of reviews and pics.
In short, it's a very well thought out product.  I like the basic shape of the A2 so I didn't use any of the back straps or the oversized trigger guard, I do appreciate the storage compatments.  As Richard put it himself, the checkering surface isn't very deep (a subcontractor's issue) so the pre-order units for me don't offer as much traction/resistence to slipping as the A2 grip.  All told, with the Crane stock, TD foregrip and the Magpul pistol grip, I now can put 5 cr123 and 4 AA batteries on my already heavy rifle lol.

My M4 with the MagPul trigger guard.

I like the trigger guard a lot. Got mine from Bowers Tactical.
My Tango Down stuff came from them too.

Hehehe, let me know if you need more costly hobbies like HK roller lock weapons

Nope. The only roller-lock HK I like is the MP5 series. No personal fondness for the G3 or HK33 series, and I have never seen a P9S upclose to pass preference on those. However, if you want to show me some information or pictures of a Famae SAF, I would alway be interested in those

I have been looking for that trigger guard as well.  I actually was beginning to wonder if I had to machine one myself.

Check the EE here...  There are several sources there that are even board sponsors!

The MIAD grips are nice and it seems a logical upgrade to the whole grip concept.

The trigger guard is completely strange though - in a good way.  Why would someone say, "You know, the trigger guard has never really changed in the years the M-16/AR-15 has been around.  It had never been addressed as a short-coming or issue.  Let's do something different..." Seriously - they just curved the thing a LITTLE, nothing huge, basically round the edges off and it makes a massive difference.  I guess that's why I just shoot them and not design them!

Spooky
