I will preface this post with, I could be really dumb. I have been trying to install a Geissele SSA trigger into a lower receiver and am having some issues. When I put the hammer in and drive the pin through, I start getting this issue where it takes two trigger pulls to get the hammer to release. I’ve tried to reinstall this with and without the safety and have ensured the springs are oriented correctly and laying properly. When the pin is about halfway out it works fine but as soon as it is driven all the way in I start getting the issue where I pull the trigger, there is a click and the hammer moves a little, and another pull where it finally releases. If I am missing something incredibly obvious please forgive my ignorance, but I need help lol. Looking at the video at about the 25-28 second mark, it looks as if the hammer is making contact with the disconnector as you are trying to press the trigger rearward. Noting that there is no safety selector in the receiver, this would allow the trigger to be pressed further to the rear and at the point the hammer could get captured by the disconnector, which is the safety selector was installed it wouldn't allow the trigger to be pressed further to the rear, of which this may the the issue. Geissele was helpful and asked me to send it back for inspection. |
