I'm going to be replacing some parts on my rig after Christmas and I'm pretty sure I will need an AR multi-tool.
Any suggestions? What kinds are best? And who has the cheapest prices? |

Only a few tools are AR specific. If you look around, there are other tools that will do the job and be useful on other firearms or other projects. For example the flash hider flats are 3/4". A good quality open end wrench will work perfectly. I tend to buy tools that are well made and have other uses. The inch pound and foot pound torque wrenches I use on my vehicles doubles on my firearms. A good set of roll pin, and flat punches, three ball pein hammers in various weights, may already be in your toolbox.
Upper and lower vise blocks are a must, you can use the lower block for holding the rifle in a vise not only when replacing parts, but also for cleaning. I have a 5" machinist vise, but find I use a small 3" table vise I picked up for cheap at Amazon. It actually works well on my computer desk or kitchen table when the boss is not around.
