I tried shimming my three prong and wasn’t sure how any shims was too much. I threw a closed tine warcomp on and it pushed the muzzle device out enough for the can to clear handguard. It seems the neck of the muzzle device is long enough, and it’s the only surefire device that would be long enough! But dang does this suppressor gap look good. |

Somebody else told me about the closed tine also, I should probably try it. I cranked it down pretty tight and used some threadlocker so I’m not sure if I’ll switch it or not. |

It’s been quite the journey but I think I’ve finally acquired the final piece to call my Johnny clone complete - a Lawrenceville, GA-marked AAC 762-SDN-6 suppressor. The most rare part was probably the black 10.2 8T barrel, but this can was close. It’s been fun!

I can't imagine trying to clone this thing after everything has been discontinued for years. AAC is supposedly bringing back the 762 SDN-6, but in 3D printed inconel form and with a hub mount. The new M4-2k is already available. I don't have the funds, but an updated, Johnny inspired build would be a neat project using the lighter can and newer glass.  I thought mine was spot on with the single exception of the vltor upper receiver. Turns out it is not the same as the Noveske vltor upper receiver  It is what it is at this point.

I’ve been on a mission to clone guns associated with Johnny. Many/most of them come without details or parts lists so I do my best.

Hoping you Noveske gurus can help determine a value on this… All/most parts are Noveske or marked as such other than the Larue trigger and KAC scout mount. Parts were sourced separately and assembled by local smith. Saker FH pinned to 14.5 afghan barrel. Attached File Attached File |
