I have a RRA Elite CAR A4 with the Smith Vortex.  How easy is it to replace the Vortex with the A2 FS?  The Vortex isn't pinned on.  I can remove it easily with a vice and taped up channel locks.  I searched this forum and didn't find any directions on how to time the A2 with a crush washer.  Do any of you know any tutorials online?

It’s really quite simple. You may want to replace your crush washer with a new one. With your barrel supported in a vice block slip on the new crush washer with the taper of the washer facing the barrel. Screw on the FH. With an armorers wrench or an adjustable or open-end wrench tighten the FH till the center slot is aligned with the top center of the barrel.

There is a specific torque called out for the FH but using this simple method I have yet to loose a FH!
