just a quick Q. is there a std for the barrel end threading, specifically how long. 1/2x28x0.624 i thought was the nato std. GM barrels have 0.750 long threading, does this mean the use of some spacer washers are needed for the most common flash/compensators ??

Colt spec on the M4 is .62" + .02". Most Colt barrels I have seen are .635". Some muzzle devices require different lengths. A standard M16A1/M16A2 compensator might fit that.

so, i may have not been reading the GM spec right, they list #'s in a not-so-clear way. i think the 0.750 was referencing the gas block size.
