| I actually only own Gen 5 Glock 9mms, so I bought a 300 dollar PSA Dagger. It fits, and sort of function tests properly, though I can't really rack the slide hard enough to overcome even light trigger finger pressure after dry firing. In addition, once I do let off with my trigger finger, and rack the slide back, and continue pressing the trigger, the friction holds the slide back until again I release pressure with my trigger finger. It works this way with both the pointed and round trips. |

For grins, I ran it in an Action Pistol match stage with no-shoot targets sandwiched between shoot targets. I shot the stage clean… I surprised myself to be honest. I will post a video. |

Functioned great except it takes trigger slap to a whole new lever. It was painful to shoot. |

I also put my Serpico FRT with their metal trigger in a Polymer 80 with G17-size slide/barrel. Like you, I found the Serpico parts as-installed to be painful to shoot due to brutal trigger slap. To minimize the trigger slap, the FRT part requires fitting. This is fairly easy to do by iteratively filing down and reprofiling the top of the FRT part where it interacts with the barrel lug/feed ramp. You can do this in situ - just remove the slide, hold the trigger back and remove a little material off the top tip of the FRT part. The most time consuming part is reinstalling the slide and testing to ensure the trigger still resets correctly. Rinse and repeat until trigger reset is minimized. Go slow - if you remove too much material, you will need to buy a replacement FRT part. It’s not a bad idea to have a spare on standby. I chickened out when I got to an acceptable level of trigger reset movement, but you could keep filing until reset is insufficient then use that part as a guide to cut a replacement but removing a little less material. |

It doesn't seem to come with a spring, like the Combat Armory one does. I assume it's not necessary? |

I never thought polymer would hold up long anyhow, I just wanted to get familiar with how it works. |

Correct - spring not needed. I believe the spring in other designs is intended to soften the felt trigger slap, but proper fitting of the Serpico should minimize the problem. As mentioned, spend the extra few bucks to get a spare FRT part. I also bought a spare Glock trigger bar and connector so I could keep the original parts unmolested in case I wanted to go back. |

I just think pistol frt or fa has limited tactical use. Might be fun and that’s ok. Originally Posted By StealthyBlagga: My Serpico FRT runs great. Interesting counterpoint. So, do you see value in pistol frt for HD or SD? |

I’ll say this You need to be prepared for the recoil impulse which is cumulative. I’ve got a video somewhere of me shooting 17 rds semi automatic (albeit very fast semi auto ) and you can see how it caused me to be off balance. Now to be fair the ground sloped just a bit back and to my left (I live on the side of a mountain- I don’t have any flat land) but I was prepared for it or so I thought. Nothing dangerous but- I’m 6’2” about 215ish? This would have been dangerous if I had been smaller. Now training and knowing what’s about to happen will negate this. But I had never had an FRT work in a handgun until this video clip. It actually caught me off guard.Folks who jump into the pistol frt game need to understand that each recoil impulse builds upon the last - so yall just be careful and have fun |

Great job too! Serpico trigger and forced reset device installed in an old G17-style Polymer 80 build. Ran 100% with no tweaking, but trigger slap was brutal until I filed the reset device down a little. |

| I installed the Serpico kit, and while it feels smoother, it functions identically. Friction holds the slide open after firing, until I release some trigger pressure, at which point the slide closes again and I have to consciously pull the trigger again. |

Did you modify the connector? Did you file the reset device down to reduce trigger slap? I’ve also read that an extra power recoil springs recommended - I didn’t need one, but if yours is hanging up on the way forward maybe it would help. |

I have not yet modified the trip, if that's what you mean by connector. I'll be attempting to use an extra power recoil assembly next, before I start cutting on the trip. |

This is what mine is doing also. I cut the nub off the connector. I filed the trip a little but not much yet. I can feel it slap my finger pretty good when I fire it. Does everything look right here? With the slide locked back the trip is sitting right at the bottom of the chamber. Last pic is how it looks on the return stroke with the trigger pinned rearward, and the slide stuck back until I release pressure. File the trip more?
