Can someone get me squared away on which FSB will work with an A1 upper? Standard these days is the "F" marked FSB but my understaning is that one is only right for the A2 detachable carry handle or ERS. Will a non "F" FSB work with a standard A1 or A2 upper receiver? I'm lookinig at building a sorta-retro using an A1 upper and possibly a Del-Ton lightweight barrel assembly. It appears Del-Ton will furnish either type of FSB on request.

F marked is a little taller since it's meant to be used w/ a3 uppers. you can use it but you'll probably have to crank your front sight post down pretty low to get it to zero

If you're using it on a 20" rifle, you won't have any issues at all. If you're using it on a carbine, you *may* have to run your sight post pretty low as boywonder mentioned.

I've run both normal and F marked on A1 uppers. Been lucky about running out of travel on the front sight post so far.
