Anyone have actual experience with the SeeAll Tritium Open Sight? It caught my eye a while ago and I noticed it again recently for $98 free shipping. I think it popped up in Facebook or something. I've watched a lot of YouTube reviews and while many YouTubers were given the sight for free, may not give the most honest review. Some just play with it indoors and say it's great. I've seen some reviews where they claim to have used it for months and report they were never able to get it sighted in and suspect it is a parallax issue that is inherent with the optic's design.

I imagine it might make for a good backup sight on an offset mount.

In one of the croddbow threads I noticed someone had one mounted on theirs.  Very curious as to how well they'd work on a scout rifle.

It's a very cool concept for sure. All claim that when it gets wet, it doesn't effect the view through the optic.

I really don't like how it says "SeeAll" below the chevron or crosshairs. I mean how tacky ... right in your view every time you look through the sights. Whoever decided to etch that there should be ashamed and remove that ASAP. It's even etched huge on the side too. Really tacky.

I just bought one to test it out.  I cut my teeth on iron sights as a kid and this look like an iron sight on steroids.  Will be fun to try it out.  Only thing I may not like is the fact it obscures the bottom half of the sight picture.

When I am done I will send it around to a few other members to try out and rate.

I get what you're saying. One thing though ... even if the lower half were clear, I imagine the magnifying lens would likely still make the lower half useless (blurry or distorted).

I've got an original that i built into the carry handle for my FMG and it works great for that.

Bought a tritium version on this sale and sight picture is about the same, with the added glow.
Thought about trying it out on a handgun but i think i would be too slow with it.

On a rifle/subgun, closer to your eye, with a solid cheek weld and it's pretty nice.

Probably so.

I ordered the crosshair version and asked the OEM is he would send the delta triangle one too for us to try out and rate.

Sighted in at 50yd i can keep most rounds on a 4" target.
It's mounted on a slip-on carry handle, on a hinged plastic cover, on a plastic lower, with a Glock slide inside, so lots of stackup in the system...
Perfectly acceptable for it's intended purpose though.

Maybe not quite as fast or precise as a red dot, but better than irons for my purposes here.

Damn for $100 I might as well just try one for myself. What I like is that it costs less than most any front & rear sight combo and no need for a red dot. I'd really like to see other manufacturers to come out with a version of their own and ideally with improvements.

And there is plenty of room up front on the PS90 with holes already drilled.  Makes me wonder if the SeeAll enclosure could simply be drilled/tapped and drop right in there.  I'll find out when they arrive.

Cool you should mention that.  I'm also a tinkerer when it comes to firearms.  I can't leave well enough alone, nothing ever looks "done" you know? :)

Check this PS90 laser mount I designed and had printed.  Took many tries to get the right material, fiber infused ABS if I recall.  Every other material would snap at the riser screw hole  in the rail section.  I would like a wireless switch for it since I hate wired pads.  Anyone know a solution to that?

Slips perfectly into the PS90 optic slot on the riser.   I mount a RDS on the built in rail.

Nice!  Definitely similar concept, not sure if I'd just machine mine from nylon or similar.
Would probably cut an integral T1 mount on top and go from there.

You might consider a paddle switch mounted to the front that you can reach when your support thumb.  Out of the way but still within reach.
Or drill your lower and mount a pushbutton in a convenient place and connect/disconnect when you tear it down to clean.

The optics slot on the PS90 is 1" wide and so is the SeeAll.  Maybe I will get lucky and it will fit out of the box.

Re. pushbutton for the laser: If I can't figure out a neat wireless I may do that.  I don't think I need the last few rail sections or the screw location since 5 other screws hold it in place.  I may cut off the end and mount a switch there instead.

That's really great to know. Thanks, I haven't looked into the progression of updates with this optic.

I wish they had a picatinny version without the huge knob on the side. Just a basic version that clamps on with an Allen screw. I imagine that shouldn't be too hard for them to do. I'd be interested in using this with a 45 degree mount on one weapon and another one for iron sights. A big knob wouldn't be ideal for either instance.

Yeah I'm not too fond of the quick detach stuff either.  The lever operated ones can rattle loose unless you crank down on the screw and then you can't operate the dang lever.    The knobs can get hung up on clothing and other stuff.

I've had the tritium version for about two years. It works great with practice, shoot both eyes open and superimpose the reticle on your target like a red dot. The lens magnifies the fiber optic in regular lighting conditions and the tritium makes it usable in very low light. Mine does not have the logo beneath the delta.

my experience with my original SeeAll Sight was that it is better on a long gun than a handgun.

neat concept that works, but if you are one of those mouthbreathers that can't use a scope without an eye squeezed shut, this sight may not be for you.

I received the crosshair version today.  I was happy to see that it drops right into the optics slot on my PS90 (minus the thumbscrew).  It is too low in there though and will need a short riser of some kind.  A TROS low profile rail mount works pretty well.  I like the way it fits on the low profile rail and it may be even better with a shorter machined riser under it to accommodate the existing 4 screw holes.

First impressions:

Pro: Well built, mounting knob is smaller than I anticipated and smaller than those pictured here. The tritium illumination is very effective.  You can easily get a sight picture in the dark.  The lens magnifies the tritium glow.  I'm trying to get a good picture of that.

Con: The mounting knob should have a screwdriver slot so you can crank it down more securely.

I am not used to it yet and so far it is not as easy to acquire sight picture as a red dot.  With one eye you can't see anything below the top of the lens except the crosshair.  I agree with TheOtherDave that it was designed to be used with both eyes open and if you can't keep both eyes open it's not for you since part of the view will be obstructed.

The delta triangle version may make for faster sight picture acquisition at least for my imperfect eyes.  I'll find out when that one arrives.

New gear is interesting.  Folks are always working to improve and innovate.  To me it's a variation on an open sight/buis, a combo of optic/irons.  The SeeAll is cool but I haven't had any range time with it yet so I can't tell if I will like it or not long term.

Only thing I can conclude at this point is that at night/low light indoors the magnified tritium glow sight picture (both eyes open) makes it good (imo) for home defense.  No batteries, it will work without fail for a decade.  I'm assuming the delta triangle version will be best for that because the delta should be easier to acquire.  We'll see when it gets here.

I have one of their sights, still on the fence as to whether I like it.

It is on a 10.5 pistol, it is fast and easy to acquire, but it is different from anything I am used to.

I saw in another post about parallax, actually their is almost zero parallax with this sight.

If you put the delta on a target no matter what angle you are looking through the sight you will hit your mark.

The tritium is really nice, not overly bright as to wash out your target, but bright enough to highlight the delta triangle enough to capture your eye to focus on it.

My opinion on it... good sight, but not great by any means. It does block out the lower section of your target. but it is easy to use with both eyes open to help you focus on the whole picture. The tritum is rather large and tends to draw your focus to your dominate eye.

I have the original SeeAll sight, not the tritium version, and it has the original funky mounting system.

When I first played with it, I sorta concluded that it works, but it really seemed like a solution looking for a problem.

It has been sitting in the safe since then, although I occasionally pull it out to see if it still works.  Overtime, the optic got a little hazy, but it mostly still works.  I wiped it off, so it got clearer, but not quite back to normal, so I need to see if it is something that comes off or if the srufaces degraded.

I vaguely recall doing a video on it, but I can't quite find it.  I am not sure I it is worth the regular $200 pricetag, but at half off, I might pick one of the tritium models up.  The large side knob on the Picatinny model is definitely odd.  I would prefer something a little lower profile, but perhaps I can bubba this thing into something a little sleeker.

Ok... Let’s go with the Home defense thing.

What does the dim tritium look like when the foreground is illuminated with 800-1,000 Lumen? Because otherwise you’re just shooting in the dark.

If you have a 1000 lumen light indoors, there is enough reflection all over the place that the sight will work fine as is.  You will not see any of the tritium glow while the light is on and for a while after until your night vision recovers.

I had an original with the delta.  I sold it pretty quickly.

The SeeAll did everything their website claimed.  It looked very durable, and I could detect no parallax, partly because my accuracy was so poor that it would have obscured any parallax.

What I didn't anticipate, and this is all my fault, was the degree to which I relied on the rear aperture of an iron sight to help me see targets beyond 50 yards.  The SeeAll doesn't do any of that, and the principle of an occluded vision sight that plays a bit of a trick on the brain doesn't seem like a good formula for precise accuracy.

I don't use 45 degree offset sights, but maybe this would be a good role for the SeeAll.
