Hello everyone, I am looking at buying a scope for my Colt ar competition rifle in 223. The gun will mainly be used for coyote hunting and shooting steel targets. I would like to be able to shoot about 6 inch groups at 300 yards. I also want a scope with good low light characteristics.I have been researching the past few days and I have a few things that I am looking for;

-500ish dollar budget
-4x12 power range (give or take a few powers either way)
-BDC or similar reticle
-40 or 50mm objective diameter?
-Good low light characteristics
-Able to see a coyote at night with a coyote light attachment

Some of the scopes I have been looking at include
-Zeiss Terra 3X 4x12x42 with the RZ8 reticle
-Nikon M-223 3x12x42 with the BDC 600 reticle
-Nikon MONARCH 3 4-16x42 Side Focus BDC
-Leupold VX-2 4x12x40 with the long range duplex reticle

Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated!! If you know of a better scope that fits my requirements, please let me know

youtube has some pretty good reviews on scopes for ARs if you search.
One thing I found with a lil research is some scopes are over a pound in weight just in the scope... add a solid mount and that is kind of heavy; my thinking if I want a lightweight tactical rifle.
But, I think you are looking more of a bench rifle or hunting carbine so you want bigger...
I opted for a Burris 2-7x scope, so far so good but, it's not illuminated and I am thinking that is the only down to it.
There are alot of revies on here as well..... good luck.

Great scope - I have the one without the ballistic reticle.
