Does anyone use a kit like this Brownells one for cleaning out their upper receiver? Not the chamber, but the bolt carrier area. I've been using rags and regular brushes, but I was thinking something like a receiver cleaning kit might let me mop out that area faster and let me spend more time getting the chamber, barrel, and BCG clean.

I bought it and I think it may be a waste of money. The mop left all kinds of lint in my upper receiver.

I just use my 12ga. mop, and wrap it with a rag.  It works for me.

I read in the reviews that if you get the cheaper cotton mop you don't get the lint.

I think I did buy the cotton mop, after reading the reviews on Brownells. I would have to check my receipt.

I find a few good sprays of Brake Cleaner to be the easiest way to clean that area.
