Noone huh?  Well, I guess that should tell me something.  I won't bother wit the YH vs SF question because I'm sure you all are getting sick of answering it.

If you provide a hot link that oughta provoke some responses from us lazy asses
I can't find it on their website
But I'll take a shot at the YHM vs SF question.  YHM has I think the largest diameter, the SF rail handguard's top does not line up with the A3 flat top rails.  I don't own either (I do have the SF rail handguard for MP5/HK94), I have KAC RAS variants only (RAS, RASII, RAS FF MRE, RAS M5), oh that and MRP

Good point about the link.  Here it is - www.rbprecision.com/ar15_mi.htm.

I thought about it over the weekend and I began to wonder if the modular rails wouldn't be a possible point of failure.  It's bad enough when you accessories come loose but what if the rail underneath comes loose?  With SF or YH you don't have to worry about the rails coming loose.

Well modularity comes with a price, with some (such as the one for which you provided the link) you can mount the rails in other than the traditional 12, 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions.  Use some blue loctite and I think you'll be fine.  If you only want rails at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock, stick with a fixed rails handguard like RAS, SF, MI's other RAS type handguard, DD, etc.

These look interesting.

Are they the same as the GG&G? edit: not even close.

Need more info.

I believe those are the NEW GG&G NON-FF rail system.

The one thing I can say about GG&G is that it's billet alluminum (meaing cut from one piece of alluminum) It's feels much stronger than any forged or cast piece IMO.

If you are going to spend $200 for a rail, go with a FF rail system.

Its made by Midwest Industries. They have also put out a design similar to the YHM, for about $129 right now

Those look just like the GG&G.  MI has several products that look almost identical.... Like the Rear flip sight.

Thanks for all the info guys.  I decided to stick with the KISS method and decided to get the Surefire.  It's simple, I can buy it localy and I don't worry about anything coming loose.

You could just email Robert and Krista at RB Precision and ask.  They are very service oriented and know their product lines well.  BTW, I have the YHM factory mounted (RRA) system and am very happy.  I have a love/hate relationship with the rail systems generally.  I like the options for mounting but like the KISS principle, don't like excess weight on the front end.
