| I just purchased one of the APEX kits minus the barrel. It has not arrived yet but it sounds like all of these uppers have the CH forge code. I'm hoping to replicate one of the M16A1s I carried back in the 80's. I know the CH forge code indicates a 1974 or later upper but were these ever used on U.S. military rifles? I'm not sure if the U.S. was still buying new rifles as late as 1974. Is it possible that the CH uppers were they used as replacement uppers? Thanks for your thoughts. |
