My prototype is done, 2 years of slowly making parts in my spare time.
I really wanted to do something different.

First that is cool! Second, what is it? I have not seen pictures of that one. I assume it was a non-USA version?

Sweet proto!
How well do the bipod feet fit against the handguards?  The old AR10 handguards had cutouts for the feet to fold into, but these look to fold pretty tight as they are.

I used textured carbon fiber sticker for the stock then painted it with spray paint.
The bipod is from a Fal. it fits pretty tight to the handguard.
The lower I 3D CNC machined from billet.

Thanks John

That is OUTSTANDING! I was thinking of doing something similiar with the bipod. Is that bipod from an FAL STG58?

OK! Dang it.
BRACENAN: I have looked at this several times a day since your first posted it.
So, I got to thinking that I really do need one of these.
I don't think I can get it as good as yours but, maybe close.

I started digging yesterday to see what I have that I can use or modify to work.

Still working on it.
Braceman, Thanks Again for the idea.

Looks like I am finding most of the parts,( some will need to be modified a lot) but I need the Front Sight Base.
Any help out there on this?
Some one had some a year or so back and I didn't buy one while they had them.
I don't remember who had them or made them.
( I am looking for at least one for now.)

Ron
Edit:
I have the front sight base coming.
The L marked rear sight drum coming also.
So I have most everything to do the build.
Now to put it on the build list.

My prototype rifle will not be an exact copy of Bracemans's ( His is too nice for anyone to make a copy of it).
Mine will be a version of as many early parts that I am able to find.

Here are some parts that I have bought so far. It is just a start for now, not in a hurry. (YET)
