[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Problem!

Just shot my J&T build for the first time today. The range report is on the discussion page. My question is when I shoot it won't eject the shell. I watched the bolt one time and it didn't even move. I tried with the magazine in and out but it never ejected. I got the upper completely built from J&T.

most likely a gas tube problem, check the alignment, is it pinched? check your gas block to make sure it is lined up with the hole in the barrel.

or just send it back to j&t

Did you check your ejector and extractor?

I have no idea what to even look for because I am very new to AR's. I'm not even sure what I am looking for to tell if is wrong?

Do you have any friends who know ARs?

No friends with any AR experience. I do know what the gas tube is, but not 100% on taking upper apart. What would I be looking for with the ejector or extracter?

Send it back or take it to a gunsmith who knows AR's. If you don't know what your doing and have no one to help teach you, start reading. Good luck.

See if your cam pin will go into the bolt from both sides....................................
