I think i've decided to go with the Aimpoint Comp M3 and 3x Magnifier.
I'm looking at the Larue Mounts and wanting to go with the Cantelever LT129 for the Comp, and in looking at the mounts for the Magnifier they offer a "High" and "Low" mount.  Does anyone know if the LT129 mount adjusts to accommodate both the high and low mount?

Of the high and low mount, what are the pro's and con's, I'm looking at going with the low mount on the LT602.  However Larue also offers a pivot (LT649) mount as well, and wondering if I should or can go with the pivot mount instead, on my S&W M&P 15.  Any thoughts and suggestions would be helpful.

The pivot mount is made for picatinny rails also...does the m&p15 have this type of rail stock or will the pivot mount not fit on the stock rail system?

Any of the Aimpoints is a good choice, IMHO.  I have been running an M3 for a few years, and recently received a pair of T-1's.  Since you are planning to use a magnifier, the 2 MOA is probably preferable to the 4 MOA, which I seem to now like better in the non-mag'd mode.

Just give LaRue a call, and they will get you squared away on what mounts will best suit your needs.  It sounds like what you are after is a LT-129 and either a LT-649 or LT-602 high.  They will all be just fine on your M&P15.

You want the high mount if using the LT129 direct on a flat top rail.  The low mounts are designed to place the optics in the correct position on top of a rail or other height increasing set up or some other non AR15 set up matched to a low front mount for the optic.  I would get the pivot mount as it kind of defeats the speed aspect to use a throw lever to have to add or remove the magnifier.  Oh yeah, 2 MOA dot reccomendation from me too.
