I picked up one of the Bushmaster Armorer's Action Clamps for working on my future projects.
My question is that on some of the upper reciever clamps I've seen there is a rod(?) that is inserted into the upper reciever to prevent crushing or deforming. None of these were included with the Bushmaster action clamp. Are these necessary or just not necessary with this clamp. Do I need to get or make one?

Thanks,
Coffee

[b] Yes you need to get one. It takes the space up that the bolt would. I thought they come with the clamp. DPMS makes something called the Claw .It replaces the clamp and bolt idea.  It slides into the bottom of the upper (without the carrier and bolt) Good Luck
