last question - how far out have you shot with it?
Is 25 - 250 yards GTG with it? being that it will be on a 11.5 I don't see myself stretching out past 250+ with the carbine. |

Fuck that, mine does 1x and 3x. While it may not be variable, it is more flexible than an ACOG alone. Honestly, I don't like the magnifier much though. The Micro dot looks shitty through the Vortex 3x. CompM2 and CompM4 dots look much better, but they are too large and heavy for this application. ![]() 2014-11-05_10-54-02 by azoutdoorsman, on Flickr |

This I prefer and like better. The turrets, the stops, the extra light (due to bigger objective), the extra magnification, the clarity, are all top notch. I couldn't really ask for much more in a scope.. and putting out $3-5k for something German made just doesn't work for me. |

I think the OP should make an edit on first post to make a guide line for the "mini recce".
Gotta have a variable optic in my opinion but this isn't a damn clone thread is it!

I will change the OP tonight, hopefully we have a consensus. Can't really make rules but I like the variable optic minimum, I kind of thought that was implied.

My original post has the barrel length criteria. I only made one edit, and that was the rifle only rule. I woke up in a cold sweat screaming "pistollllllll!"
